What is the Good News that Jesus' disciples preached in the first century and beyond?
What does the bible say the Good News is?
What is the Good News that the Jehovah's Witnesses preach today?
Is the Good News that the JW's preach the same Good News that was preached in the first century by Christians?
What does the bible have to say about anyone who preaches a different Good News than the Good News of the bible?

The Watchtower preparing to become Mainstream?
by lovelylil ini have heard a few active witnesses comment recently about the wt quoting more frequently from sources from other church denominations.
i know they have done this in the past, but it seems from the rank & file that it is happening even more.. has anyone heard about this trend?
also, do you think the tower is preparing those in the rank & file to accept new light regarding christendom (such as that they do teach some truth), and how do you think this will affect people?.

How a JW was instrumental in deconverting me from Mormonism
by Noggin ini used to be able to state, with clear emphasis... and a straight face, that i knew the mormon church was god's only true church on the face of the earth.
i used to be made up of a highly
polarized mormon mind set

Ive figured out our need for religion...
by theinfamousone inor at least i have a good theory as to why we like to think there is a god who cares about us and why we follow his "guidelines" and rules and then go to his churches and follow his religions.... i think our major problem as living breathing entities is that we like to believe the world revolves around us.
no matter how unselfish we think we are, we still do not want to think of a time when we are not around... we do not want to think of being forgotten, we do not even want to think of dying... right?
so we invent a god, who cares and who stretches his hands out to us so that we can one day be remembered by him, and be saved by him, either by reincarnation, heaven, new world, and the list goes on... we are all afraid of nothingness, so we use religion to console our fear and to be able to think that we will never be nothing.... what do you think???.

I of course am convinced you are mistaken, at least in my own case. I have traveled many times to the world of the dead and have spoken with my beloved dead ones. I also know we are not the center of the cosmos. In fact, the dead exist as a form of elctromagnetic energy, and it is as a part of that energy field that we exist as consciousness after physical death, as the electromagnetic field of the earth. In five hundred million years the sun will expand and engulf the earth and we will cease as individual consciousnesses. God is not a person but is the sum total of all that is, and is not a Being. God is being itself. God does not exist. God is existence itself. God is not loving. God is Love itself. God is not conscious. God is consciousness itself.
It does not matter what you think or believe, or do not think or believe. It is best to relax. Enjoy life. -
